Deposit, Cancellation, Refund and Late-fee Policy Information

A 25% deposit is required to rent watercraft from Lake of the Woods Resort. The remaining 75% balance will be automatically taken 10 days prior to the rental date.

Cancellations without 10 days advanced notice will forfeit deposit. Reservations that have not been paid in full will be held 20 minutes past the reservation time (late time will be deducted from your rental time).  After 20 minutes your reservation will be cancelled, and your payment will be forfeited. A fee of $25.00 will be applied if you request a date change. 

Customers need to show up 20 MINUTES prior to your boat reservation time to complete paperwork. If you show up at time of reservation, any time spent doing paperwork will be deducted from your rental time. Rental times are firm and will not be customized to accommodate a late departure.

Refunds will not be given to same day cancellations or no shows. Refunds are not given due to inclement weather or any other reason outside of Lake of the Woods Resorts control.

Watercraft must be returned on-time, otherwise a $25.00 late fee will be assessed for every 15 minutes late. For the purposes of this agreement, “returned” means that the watercraft has been fully docked, unloaded of all belongings, and is back in the possession of Lake of the Woods Resort staff.
Fuel is not included in boat rental prices and is based on consumption. A cleaning fee of $25.00 may be charged if excessive cleaning is required.

Violation of any rules may result in the immediate termination of the rental watercraft. In such cases, no refunds will be given for any unused portion of the rental period.
